Intre 11-16 Iulie 2010, la Deva, a avut loc a noua editie a celei mai importante manifestari sportive de off-road din Europa.
Pentru al treilea an consecutiv, Fundatia EMA este prezenta cu voluntarii sai la TAT, pentru a asigura asistenta medicala pe durata celor 6 zile de competitie. In acest an, punctul sanitar organizat de EMA a fost constituit din 6 corturi militare de campanie, un pavilion de consultatii, targi NATO, monitor, defibrilator, truse si echipamente de interventie atat pentru cazuri medicale cat si pentru traume. Asistenta a fost asigurata non-stop, prin echipe de garda, atat in tabara cat si in teren.
De mentionat ca, impresionati de spiritul voluntar al echipei EMA, au fost si cateva semnale de ajutor in ceea ce priveste demersul Fundatiei EMA de a intra in posesia unei autosanitare off-road. Dintre ei amintim pe urmatorii :
Speram ca, datorita sustinerii lor si nu numai, sa ajungem sa avem propria ambulanta 4x4 !
Between 11-16 of July, in Deva, took place the ninth edition of the most important off-road competition in Europe.
For the third year in a row, E.M.A Foundation is present with its volunteers to TAT ,to provide medical assistance during the 6 days of competition.This year,the health point organized by E.M.A consisted of 6 military tents, a consultation pavilion, NATO stretchers ,monitor,defibrilator, medical kits, and medical intervention equipment both for medical and trauma emergencies .Medical assistance was provided round the clock, in shifts, both in camp and in the field. E.M.A team effort was much higher than the previous year.
Besides the fact that even before the start,over 200 medical consults were done (free), during the 6 days of competition we recorded over 50 emergency consults of which the most serious was that of a Greek patient who suffered a myocardial infarction.
The immediate intervention of E.M.A team contributed to saving his life especially because it was a race against time to bring this person from the camp (25 km from Deva) to the operating room in Cluj-Napoca (Heart Institute).
So,we can say with certainty that E.M.A volunteers saved a life at this edition of TAT.
